Editing Captive portal page problem
-
Hi i am having problem with my captive portal login page. I edited the page and insert image then i upload the image with a size of 11kb. and add to my script html file. But when i try to view the created file the image is only broken image. But when i look the image inside shell folder the file is in there "/var/db/cpelements/captiveportal-test.jpg. I have the latest pfsense running right now.

1/ Post the code.
2/ View how? (There was a long-lasting bug with the preview in webGUI, no idea whether it got fixed or not.) -
![test](captiveportal-test.jpg) <center> # Internet </center> <form method="post" action="$PORTAL_ACTION$"> Please enter your authorization information: Username: and Password: **OR** Voucher Code: Then click the _Continue_ button below: </form>
When you upload new html page you can view the portal page. Maybe this is new features for 2.3.3 version.

1/ In the first place, your HTML is completely broken. Missing body, img and entire code inside head, head terminated after HTML, etc.
2/ Once again - does it work when you actually connect to the CP? -
Actually the page work but the image show broken.
-
Do anyone solve this issue with the new version of pfsense?
-
Dude, have you fixed your HTML? https://validator.w3.org/#validate_by_input
And perhaps you could answer the question asked?
-
Honestly i am not to good in programming. For simple coding base on googling the img src code i try with plain html still not work. I suspecting this is not html error.
-
Honestly, I've tried to make you answer a goddamn simple question 3 times. Nothing. Go help yourself.
-
Don't be mad at me. If you're asking me if cp is working my answer is yes. My question is the image broken when i link it to my html file. I do not want my portal page getting complicated so i want just a simple pic and login page that's all.
-
No, I am asking you whether the image works when you connect to the captive portal. (NOT when you use whatever "preview" in the WebGUI.)
-
No. The image cannot view when i try to connect with captive portal
-
Well, then perhaps start with fixing your HTML.
-
How could i test if the image is really working? I mean if my html is already correct the image should show?
-
The HTML you posted here is totally broken, I even linked you to the validator. Otherwise, just connect to the CP. As once again already noted, there's been a bug with the preview for ages, the preview is not a good way to test things.

First thing first, how did you manage to upload your image?
Images can be uploaded using the File Manager in the Services>Captive Portal>YourCaptivePortal>File Manager…
If you can find your image there, then the problem is really in your HTML script....
-
Can you list what you have here : Services -> Captive Portal -> [ZONE] -> File Manager ?
A file called "captiveportal-test.jpg" should be there (exactly the same).
