Was reading some info on the new version of Snort this morning on my iPad, so as I usually do after I get the kitchen computer fired up and the teapot going, I sat down and logged into the pfSense dashboard. Quick look around and everything looked fine, no notification of the Snort package having an update... Just figured Bill was working on it.

After I got my tea I just thought I'd look at the package manager and not only was there a new version of Snort listed, but there were also new versions of Nut and Patch Manager.

So I went back to the dashboard and then the Installed Packages widget showed all three as having updates available.

Just wanted to put this out there to see if anyone else has seen this and for the devs to be aware. Not a big deal, maybe the kitchen PC just needed breakfast.

@Ramosel said in Package updates not showing until I ran Package Manager:

        Patch Manager

System Patches? That was released this morning.

        dunno about others :)

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
