and since I'm in the same situation as the OP, I would like to ask you to elaborate on what you meant by "You can always use "Alias Type" rules and then manually create the firewall rules to suit your needs"

I did try to refer to blue infoblock but didn't quite understand or notice anything about "Alias Type" nor an explanation on how to use Alias Type in a manually created firewall rule to suit my needs.
