I recently purchased a SG-1000 and have given it the usual treatment of config (WAN, LAN IPs, passwords, etc).  I'd like to configure it so I can take it with me as an OpenVPN client and it will allow me to plug anything into the LAN side and have that appear on my home network.

I have two Internet connections so I'm testing using the Internet connection that doesn't have the VPNs configured as a server.  I am attempting to use both an ESXI virtual appliance from OpenVPN and the Synology OpenVPN instance.  I see a lot of info for connection PFSense firewalls to other PFSense firewalls as well as how to set this up as an OpenVPN server.  Does this support connecting as a VPN client to another server?  if so, where do I begin in the menus?

        I found this:

        https://support.purevpn.com/pfsense-openvpn-configuration-guide

which helps immensely.  Currently I'm not sure what to do as the Synology configuration only gives me a .crt file - no .key file.

        Any help or ideas?

This worked for me using IVPN today:

            https://www.ivpn.net/setup/router-pfsense.html

Mulvad setup looks very similar but I haven't tried it:

Has anyone tried to do this with Algo VPN?
