OpenVPN released OpenVPN 2.4.2 today, after a code audit uncovered a couple security issues, and they also fixed a client-side memory leak. I updated the OpenVPN Client Export package to include the new Windows installer.

We'll be putting OpenVPN 2.4.2 in pfSense 2.4 snapshots shortly as well.

Previous version of the export package was 1.4.3, skipped 1.4.4 since it was an incomplete commit that missed a change so I had to bump it again, thus 1.4.5.

It seems that this is broken - the client export for windows is a 2 KB file :-(
Any ideas on this how to fix this?

Uninstall your package and then reinstall it โ€“ don't just do a reinstall/upgrade.

If you were coming from a much older version there was a bug a couple revs back that could delete the template files, so the template pkg needs reinstalled, which would only happen if you removed it completely then reinstalled it.
