Upgrade from 23.09.1 to 24.03 beta fails - Another instance of pfSense-upgrade is running.
-
Hello all!
I have been trying to upgrade to the lastest pfSense Plus 24.03 beta, however, I keep on running into the 'Another instance of pfSense-upgrade is running.' error.
I have tried rebooting as well as these commands, but I am still having the same error message.
pkg-static clean -ay; pkg-static install -fy pkg pfSense-repo pfSense-upgrade
I did notice that my /usr/local/etc/pkg.conf keeps reverting to:
ABI=FreeBSD:15:amd64 ALTABI=freebsd:15:x86:64
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

@rtorres I'm encountering the same issue. My lab machine upgraded without problem from 23.09.1 to 24.04 20240322.1708

Issue has been resolved.
You will need to go select previous Branch, Run pkg-static clean -ay; pkg-static install -fy pkg pfSense-repo pfSense-upgrade and immediately reboot.
Afterwards, select the new beta upgrade and hit confirm. I am now on the 24.03 beta. Thank you!
