It won't because the public pkg repo hasn't been updated since the last beta. We are ironing out the last few wrinkles internally. I hope!

I've pfSense plus 23.09.1, so I cloned my existing 23.09.1 boot environment into a new one, booted into it, and hit the upgrade (to 24.04.xxxx) button.
I use these packages :
and I also use the captive portal.
It's now close to 2 weeks, and invested "more then reasonable" time in looking into issues.
I've found none.edit : hardware : a 4100.

It shouldn't. I've upgraded 2100s numerous times. If it there is some specific config/package issue though now is the time to find it!

I am seeing some random errors in squid 6. something new called KICK again I am using a custom config here is a copy of it for dev team if needed or looking for stuff to check out. It looks to be password locked for the status page something I did I am sure.

So it's working as expected but just logging that in the Squid logs?

yes that issue along with it I can no longer access

I get my login for it however I get access blocked
Also error logs issue again
But it is working cacheing and blocking URLS correctly just access the logging something is off for me.

I was told it would be used automatically.
I have it enabled and a VPN connection running.
No counters seen in pfsense
Use the shell command vmstat -i | grep safexcel
to test it used to show counters when used

This RC took a long time to upgrade - even from the most recent beta! I even took my laptop to the rack since I couldn't SSH in! Whew!

Really? Mine was really fast. No issues on my 6100.

@behemyth It took almost 10 minutes on my 6100 MAX when each incremental beta took less than a few miinutes. Suricata was the only package that had an upgrade and that one appeared to take a while for whatever reason. Interestingly enough I never got a boot verification. I'll have to see if this RC version flipped this back to an opt-in feature.
