It would be very useful to be able to restore only the wireguard package data from a backup file, that is this section:

    <installedpackages><wireguard>...</wireguard></installedpackages>

I would not mind if selectively restoring "Wireguard" out of a backup file would also restore its package installation data. Though at the very least, if Wireguard package is setup on this system, have an item Wireguard among the "Restore Area" list appear and read and replace only the above data in such case. I think the same might be valuable for any installed package, as long as its own configuration data is entirely stored into the complete pfSense backup file.

For now Wireguard configuration is not replicated to other nodes by the XMLRPC Sync. As this configuration does not change very often (at least for my use case), I can live with that. But life would be much simpler if I could simply get the backup from my Primary and restore only Wireguard from that file on my Secondary.

It might also prove useful for people without High Availability setups. Being able to restore only Wireguard configuration from a backup file, might help people while they're discovering Wireguard and experimenting with their setup.
