Captive Portal fails to load login page with SSL error after reboot
-
Captive Portal gives the following SSL_protocol_Error only after a reboot following an upgrade from 24.03. It works normally after the upgrade until the upgraded system is rebooted.
This has been repeated at least 4 times in a lab setup and is consistent. I will test it on a different system to confirm but this is on an SG-7100 1U utilizing a pcie WAN on igc0, Lan on ix0 and Opt1 on ix1 with 8 captive portals on VLans 10->80 (OPT1). The marvel switch is not utilized. I did not have this issue with the June release. The restore is from a White box system on 2.7.2 or an XG-1541 on 24.03 with identical interface assignments.
The same certificate is used for WebConfig https access and works fine.
The only way to recover from this state is to reinstall 24.03 and restore using the identical backup file.

I can confirm that the exact same symptoms exist with the XG-1541. This time it was upgraded from a 30 day old 24.03 stable installation, worked after the upgrade before a reboot but after a reboot, it gave the identical error. -
I'm not able to reproduce this issue even with multiple Captive Portal zones. It'd be helpful to see the related configuration (certs, captive portal, pf rules) on 24.03 and also on 24.08 after the failure on the second reboot. If possible, please submit the relevant status reports here.

@marcosm
My fault, the restore was overwriting the 24.08 dev captiveportal.inc with the 24.03 stbl copy. The error does not occur with the correct file. Thank you for your efforts my apologies for my error.
