IP Fragment Reassemble Option Question

Hi all,
Under the Firewall & NAT options, VPN Packet Processing section, I see the ability to enable the
IP Packet Reassembleoption:https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/config/advanced-firewall-nat.html#ip-fragment-reassemble
If the the system has plenty of memory is there any harm in enabling this option? Since the default is unchecked (or disabled), in what situations (besides having a system with limited memory) should this option stay disabled? Thanks in advance.
