You can create a script to clean up the states that were using an "old route".
That is actually what was being discussed in that redmine.Perhaps even make or own script in a way that the "Ignore IPsec Restart:" option works in a different way.
I have been facing a problem with backup routes, when they bounce, it is dropping the primary route.
Perhaps with this script, I could work something out.. -

That is actually what was being discussed in that redmine.Yep yep that's right. Sorry for confusing issues. I remember your issue now and they said that scripting support is required for them to rectify.

Np, we need more people engaged in this, FRR is a great software but it is not working smoothly with pfsense IPsec VTIs.
