      I'm very happy that IPv6 prefix delegation is in 25.03 and I started setting it up in the lap env. And it works excellent, only a cosmetic thing:

      In the "DHCPv6 Leases" page the prefixes that are in use are listed under "Leases". They used to be listed unter "Delegated Prefixes" in ISC DHCP.

      Any plans to list them again in their own section?

        @patient0

        But do a prefix belong on the "DHCPv6 (server) Leases" page ?

        A delegation is a, typical, /64 size network IPv6 "upper part" (most significant 64 bits), obtained by the DHCP Client on a WAN interfaces, assigned to you (pfSense) to be used on a LAN type interface if you set it up as IPv6 tracking.

        You can see the obtained (a) prefix on the DHCPv6 server set up page :

        but again, this prefix is used by the server, and obtained by the DHCP6 client.

        If all goes well, and you're lucky, this prefix(es) doesn't (are very rarely) change.

        Edit : and where are the logs ??

          I probably wasn't clear enough in my description: I'm talking about the pfSense that does the prefix delegating, not the client who receives it.

          Where I see the leases given out, the prefixes given out are in the same list as the leases. Where as if set the DHCP server to ISC DHCP the given out prefixes are listed in their own section.

          Add:
          With ISC DHCP

          With KEA

          And it would be helpful to get the "Routed To" and the Prefix size with KEA too.

            Ok, yeah, it makes sense to me now.

            Just wondering : kea IPv6 is probably able to hand out prefixes also. But : is pfSense, who makes the kea DHCPv6 setup files, able to do so ?

              Prefix Delegation support in Kea isn't yet fully complete in 25.03, it's missing some parts of the implementation such as the route table handling, but it's close to being finished.

                The beta build we're working on now will have that view fixed up to be more like the older display:
