      I would like to ask how to fix the filter reload error? On Netgate 2100 with pfSense 24.11, freshly reset. Thanks a lot

        Some more info. The NAT and firewall does not work even after factory reset.

          Solved the problem by downgrading to 24.03

            Did you just upgrade?

            Those errors are almost always because of mismatch between pfctl and the running kernel.

              @stephenw10 Vendor said they have upgraded from 24.03 to 24.11 before delivery. Not sure if it causes the problem

                Hmm, well it looks like it didn't upgrade correctly from what I can see there.

                  ?
                  If some one pre installed pfSense, say 'thanks' and then you wipe the disk and install pfSense yourself - you can get a copy from Netgate TAC.
                  There is one exception : If Netgate installed it on their device, you probably could trust it 😊

                  Installing pfSense isn't hard, and part of the "minimum efforts" list of the pfSense admin.

                  Edit : and where are the logs ??

                    @Gertjan I don't see any reason to say "thanks" to someone who deliver broken devices to us without proper testing.

                      @cosmos-tong thanks but no thanks.

                      idiom. used to say that you are grateful to someone for offering something but that you do not want to accept the offer; sometimes used humorously when you are not really grateful:
