      Hi

      Decided to upgrade to the latest beta and as I logged in I was greeted with the warning I have 100% packet loss but never knew as internet is working

      I went ahead with the upgrade and on reboot still 100% packet loss gateway down but I have internet

      I have battled with my virgin router doing this quite a lot but this one is new hehe

        @Maff said in This is new, 100% packet loss internet works:

        100% packet loss

        The packets that get accounted for this 'loss' are the ping packets send by the (WAN) interface monitoring tool.
        This should work fine, but there is a condition : the IP to be monitored must reply to ping.
        This is why this choice exists : example :

        b4223f3b-a2b1-4c38-aa3e-016fccfb8e25-image.png

        as it's known that 8.8.8.8 does reply to pings, for now.

        No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
        Edit : and where are the logs ??

          Mmm, what is it pinging? Is it actually sending pings? Check the state table.

            @Maff

            Does your router use PPPoE for the ISP connection?

              Sorry for the late update, but it was something to do with switching to kea dhcp, reverting back and everything is normal now

              I use virgin media in modem mode and it’s dhcp wan

                Hmm, hard to see how that would affect the WAN side. The dhcp client running there is not changed by enabling Kea for the internal dhcp server.

                  @stephenw10

                  I will see if I have any logs available but never seen it before and only happened once I enabled kea and my external ip address changed, reverting and it all kicked in and worked
