I am guessing PfBlockerNG (Downloaded Lists) is not allowing access to Discord servers. I can use Discord if I run a VPN around PfBlockerNG.
I thought by adding: www.discord.com and .discord.com to DNSBL Whitelist it would allow Discord to pass. It does not seem to be working; and yes I did a force update.

I suggest first verifying its pfblocker that is blocking discord. Disable pfblocker entirely and retry.

If it’s verified to be pfblocker, there is probably a host of domain names and domains ip addresses associated with it, not just one. A quick search I did suggests about (at least) ten domain names used by discord.

You can also try discord and then immediately check the pfblocker logs to see what other domains it’s blocking. Whitelist them all until it works then resume blocking each less likely name one by one to see if it still works and narrow down the white list to the most likely entries.

My search suggests trying to white list ip addresses under the ip block function could be hopeless. The ip list is probably a moving and amorphous target at best.

Hello, thank you for replying and your suggestions. I have decided to add the Discord domains to PfBlockerNG whitelist and see if this works. The list I found on GitHub:

          https://discord.gg/
          https://discord.com/
          https://discordapp.com/
          https://discord.media/
          https://discordapp.net/
          https://discordcdn.com/
          https://discord.dev/
          https://discord.new/
          https://discord.gift/
          https://discordstatus.com/
          https://dis.gd/
          https://discord.co/

Does this match your list? Are you aware of missing domains. I also have wrongly assumed discord is American, but I could have the country of origin blocked also under GeoIP list on the IP side of PfBlockerNG. Like: gift, co, gd, media, gg, new, or NEW, and dev or DEV.

Well one of these domain names was the one. I added this list to PfBlockerNG DNSBL white list (Without the https:// in front) and I now have access to Discord.

@The-Party-of-Hell-No excellent. I’m glad some experimentation proved successful.
