I have an old iPad that I have nothing to do with
I want to display the dashboard on it permanently

I can log in to the pfsense account but after a while
      it disconnects

Is there a way to make this permanent without affecting logging in to pfsense from other computers on the network where I do want it to log out

This is intended for display only, not for control.

You can login from one device, and many others, at the same time.

Keep in mind that 'TCP' timeouts exist, so eventually, the pad will lose the connection.
I really thought there was a GUI settings that permits 'long' logins, but couldn't find it 😢

And beware : generating the GUI dashboard page costs quiet a few CPU resources, as it gets auto refreshed every xx seconds.
If you have a powerful CPU, then that's a none-issue. If it isn't: ask yourself : should it 'route' or generate web pages ?

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

Depending on what device you use this topic might be interesting to you: https://forum.netgate.com/topic/195990/another-netgate-with-storage-failure-6-in-total-so-far/8?_=1754606953094

since, if I understood correctly, some widget on the dashboard can potentially shorten emmc/SSD lifespan doe to logging data, but please check it yourself.

@mmkkoo Every HTTP request is logged. So everything that updates on the dashboard.

Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to reboot, or more depending on packages, and device or disk speed.
