      Hi,

I'm running several (licensed) VMs in the lab for checking new and current versions. So updated our devel VM to 25.07-RC and wanted to test the nexus controller further but it is stuck with an old configuration, where I connected it to a 6100 on hand. Disabled controller, removed the pfnet-controller db but the old config is still there. Log shows something with "recovering from backup" - but where is that backup and how do I reset the controller config to "blank"?

Also the controller is warning/erroring about not being licensed but I suppose that could also be because of the old installation from before updating it, so resetting would be a first step towards solving that - hopefully.

      Any hints?

      Cheers

The config db is also backed up to config.xml.

So after upgrading the lab VMs I still cannot remove one VM from the attached 6100, as the box in question has already undergone repurposing and has no idea of that old config anymore.

Can I manually remove the stuff from config.xml? What is the Tag the config db gets saved to? Just want a full reset so I can adapt the VMs to a test box again without loosing the rest of the config, that is vital :)

It's normally not recommended but it should be fine for a quick edit. IIRC it's under the system tree - it will be obvious since it's a long base64 string.
