OVPN TAP Should work but isn't
-
Hello, I posed on Reddit for help, and someone was walking me through some basic troubleshooting. They said that my setup should be working, but it isn't.
I can't see the gateway on vpn even though it says it's connected. I'm trying to set up a TAP to connect to my desktop and use steam in home streaming.
My LAN is set to 192.168.124.1/24
I was getting an error Warning: address 192.168.124.1 is not a network address in relation to netmask 255.255.255.0So I'm not getting the TLS error anymore. However I have to keep bridge DHCP enabled to prevent it.
With it on, I'm getting "unable to redirect default gateway – VPN gateway parameter (--route-gateway or --ifconfig) is missing"
If i set the server bridge dhcp I get an IP from the vpn, however the gateway is still missing.Fri Nov 24 09:34:15 2017 OpenVPN 2.4.4 x86_64-w64-mingw32 [SSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [LZ4] [PKCS11] [AEAD] built on Sep 26 2017

Hi,
Just wondering if you were able to resolve your issue?, it seems that I have a very similar problem which I detailed in post:

I didn't get any replies either and I'm stuck where to go from here as well.
Regards,
Robert.
