    I spent hours trying to figure this out, and here what the other tutorial are not saying.

    Device Mode TAP, allows you to connect through the VPN and see all your local resources as if you were in the same network.

    You need to absolutely click Redirect Gateway.

    You need to create bridge with your LAN and OpenVPN instance and then you need to give an Interface to that Bridge.

    Everything else is in the other tutorial, but this was missing.

      In your tunnel settings for the OpenVPN server: You state that you MUST check "Bridge DHCP" - this is NOT a MUST:
      I don't check this in my config
      I guess it depends on how you want to provision your network.
