    hi,
since the irc channel seems to be asleep, ill try it here.
im using the newest (rc2) embedded pfsense image on my wrap with an gigabyte gn-wi01gs mini pci wireless card (ralink 2501 turbo chip).
my problem is that the card isnt available in the interface dialog and therefor useless.
i bought the card because its supported by the bsds, so where is the problem?

    €: dmesg says:

    pcib0: <host to="" pci="" bridge="">pcibus 0 on motherboard
    pci0: <pci bus="">on pcib0
    pci0: <network>at device 13.0 (no driver attached)</network></pci></host>

well my card is listed here:
            http://damien.bergamini.free.fr/ral/
            http://ralink.rapla.net/

so freebsd (ural) should support it. but pfsense (embedded) doesnt…

Did you notice the "discontinued" as backround at http://damien.bergamini.free.fr/ral/ ? Also this is not the official freebsd driver that is included in pfSense.

yea, but i thought thats because the drivers integrated in freebsd.
