Captive portal won´t work
-
Hello,
Captive portal is not working. I have set rules to pass any TCP connection . My subnet LAN is 10.0.1.1 , and I´m connected to internet through LAN. If I try to open http://10.0.1.1:8000 is not opening the portal page, any idea why ?
Thanks

What version are you testing with? Also is this a multiwan setup?
-
If this is version 1.0.1 try rebooting after enabling the Captive Portal or upgrade to the recent snapshot where that bug (amongst many others) is fixed.
-
How do I upgrade to the latest snapshot ? What I did is to upgrade the latest firmware to 1.0.1
Thanks

It's just a normal upgradeprocess, but you feed the upgrade files from http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD6/RELENG_1/ . It will tell you that the file is not signed, this is normal, just continue.

I upgraded to latest snapshot and it´s not working, by clicking in the captive portal menu, it shows me the portal , but when I enable the interface with the cp it starts thinking úntil says page cannot be displayed
any clue ?

Does your client try to use a proxy?
-
does youre client uses pfsense as his gateway ?

Hi,
Didn't you set the HTTPS Captive portal page ? In this case, the URL is https://10.0.1.1:8001 and not 8000.
Just in case.
