Our carp enabled firewalls are having a 100% cpu utilization every while. The process tcpdump (started from filter_pflog_start) seems to be responsible for this. The firewalls are doing lots of traffic (state table of > 30k is normal).

After killing this process the cpu usage returns to normal and tcpdump is automatically started.

      Any ideas?

Haven't seen that problem.  Try clicking save in the system logs settings screen.

When just clicking save the is no difference in the processor usage. I decided to just disable the "Log packets blocked by the default rule" and the usage normal now. Thanks!
