So I have a server running and it has 3 virtual machines, one of which I want to isolate from all the other computers on the lan. Reason is, is because a lot of people access this VM. Who knows what they could do if some jerk got ahold of the pass. What if they ran like cain and abel? Bad things waiting to happen, so how would I best isolate this virtualmachine to just access the internet but not any of the lan computers or host machine? I can run it in a virtual machine adaptor, like so it uses its own subnet. Aka lan is 192.168.1.1, VM fake thing would be 10.10.10.23 or something(But I need ports port forwarded!). I am using virtualbox if that matters.
I mean if this was an actual pc I would just put another nic card and run it on a different subnet.

Just add a virtual NIC, but use the same physical NIC….

I don't think I could port forward like that could I? Or would I port forward the actual server and then the virtual NIC would also be port forwarded maybe? I don't think that would work D:

So, you posted to say something wouldn't work without any knowledge of whether or not it would…  ::)

I have set a few isolated VM's on XenServer.  We set a up a trunk port to the a isolated network and vlan.  From there we add the isolated vm to the isolated VM.  From there people can access.
