I successfully configured a captive portal.  Its use was for a guest VLAN that we wanted to put up some sort of generic AUP.  I've been using it as my gateway, testing it, and when doing a tcpdump on a nonrelated issue, noticed that packets from my machine on the LAN side of the captive portal were being NAT'd by the pfSense box (the WAN interface address).  I really wanted this box only to act as a gateway and captive portal, not a nat device.  Is there a way to modify this behavior?

      Thanks!

Enable Advanced outbound NAT and remove/add rules as how you want the NAT to behave.
(deleting all rules leads to a routing/firewalling platform only)

We do what we must, because we can.

Awesome!  That worked.  I had turned on Advanced before, but had not deleted the rule.  Many thanks!!
