Pfsense, 2 dynamic ips, and domain name?
-
Essentially, I want to access x.com and have it reach my web server, either through x.x.x.x ip or y.y.y.y ip, which would be my 2 WAN ips.
I have a dual-wan pfsense, with both wans being dynamic ip (cable). I also have a domain name, and I'd like for the domain name to point to both wan ips (round robin dns balancing).
How would I go about doing this/is this even possible?

I am not 100% sure, maybe someone more knowledgeable can chime in but, considering you have the appropriate firewall rules in place you can enable dynamic dns from your pfsense box for your desired domain name. Basically, that should do it.

Yes, it's possible, but how simple it is depends on how much you want to spend on it ;)
You can use DynDNS.com's Custom DNS service to do what you're after in terms of mapping your hostname to the changing IP. However the update clients only support one IP per hostname (as does the API). They have other services (under their other brands) though so if you're happy to spend more money you'll almost certainly find they can help you.
