      I would like to know if it's possible (and after having a look it seems not)
      to setup one of my Wireless Interface as a DHCP Client (and not as an AP).

      What I would like to acheive is having a Wifi Interface act as a DHCP client of another network.
      (and more or less becoming the (or another) WAN access)

      Is this possible ? With an extra Packages ?

        This is possible.

        Assign the WAN to the WLAN-card and configure it as client.

          I have had wifi on WAN, but how do I configure wifi client as a secondary WAN interface?

              My limited understanding:
              A "normal" interface does not operate as a dhcp client only the WAN type. I do not know enough about whats going on for there to be the special classification but it does exsist. I hope future versions do this differently.

              You can only have one DHCP client interface (this is why you have to use static ips on dual wan???).
              For WiFi client you have to have it classified as WAN.

              So if your WiFi is for fail over and static ip where as your DSL is primary and dynamic ip…. both of them need the bona fide WAN classification. what do you do?

                Yes it can be a normal DHCP client.
                Just set the "type" on the interface config page to "DHCP"

                  Thank you. Of course your right. Im not sure where the baggage of only one WAN is coming from…. past versions? I swear, i dont do crack :)

                  After looking again... i can even set up multiple wifi clients interfaces. duh!

                  Does pfsense there anything going background with pf when configuring multiple dhcp client interfaces? just because its dhcp client does not necessarily mean that it is an upstream interface right?

                    Afaik there are NAT rules installed for all interfaces with a gateway.
                    But as long as you dont create failover pools or policy routing rules nothing will actually be routed over this interface.

                    –> You have to modify your firewall rules to make use of such a second/third WAN.
