Hiya all, please bare with me, since i know that this issue have been mention before but for me is a nightmare. I just cant solve the IGMP annoucement killing. Im running latest PS 1.22 version.

      • Iv created a firewall rule to block the exact annoucenment
      • Im pretty sure the firewall rule setting is accurate for my purpose.

Still im getting IGMP annoucement from 192.168.1.254 <- adsl modem (bridgemode). Iv called ISP tech and they went through the modem settings and cannot find a solution to this issue either. So im here and kinda stuck. Please take a look at pictures attached and see if you guys can firegure somethin out.

All helps much appriciated. Thanks in advance

      Maybe this a bug?

Looks like they have RIP enabled on that device. My ISP also sends similar messages in the event I want to run RIP.  Completely harmless I would imagine, if you don't want to see them in the log, just make a rule that doesn't do logging.

What I did was create a rule for IGMP traffic and unchecked the log option (default).  My ISP sends them once every minute.

              pf: 127. 474922 rule 30/0(match): block in on fxp0: (tos 0xc0, ttl 1, id 53513, offset 0, flags [DF], proto IGMP (2), length 36, options (RA)) 192.168.1.254 > 224.0.0.1: igmp query v3

Try disable IGMP-Proxy on your modem if you can.

Else you'll need to unpick Block private networks and Block bogon networks on wan interface and change your IGMP rule to a allow rule.

Maybe if you correct the destination in your WAN rule from  124.0.0.1  to  224.0.0.1  it triggers and blocks?

Yea, i saw that misstake in the firewall rule and have corrected to 224.0.0.1, still same result.
