Jan 26 16:47:45 php: miniupnpd: Starting service on interface: lan, opt1

I have UPnP enabled for my LAN and my Wireless card. I try just enabling it for my LAN, same issue. Guess I'll port forward my xbox live port now…lol

Not sure if this help but here is my dmesg output

Yep, saw the same lines :

Jan 26 12:20:10 php: miniupnpd: Starting service on interface: lan
Jan 26 12:20:10 miniupnpd[1276]: DIOCGETSTATUS: Operation not supported by device
Jan 26 12:20:10 miniupnpd[1276]: Failed to init redirection engine. EXITING

On the Status => Services page its being marked as Stopped.

              Hein ???

If it did start, then over here it will show (here : …/status_services.php ) "running" - and you can restart it.
If its not running then the "restart" isn't available. Just "start" - rather logic btw.

You said that it didn't start and then you clicked on "restart"…... something is definitely not ok.

Anyway, some low level stuff must have been changed in 7.1-RELEASE-p2 - and it doesn't like the way upnp talks to it ….
Well, I can live with that .....  ;D

it showed running but it didnt actually respond to requests to open ports so i restarted it and started then working fine.

Solution : upgrade (again - I just did)  and all is well  ;D
                  "UPnP Service" is running.
