I'll take the hit….and hope I don't get flamed too hard.

How soon on the 1.23 release?  I need to deploy a couple ALIX boards in the field and since a remote upgrade of the embedded build is not an option, I'd like it to be fully baked.

A case, which I never do is upgrade from version 1.2.2 to 1.2.3 on 12 april 2009, in general, not much change the system.
There are only a few changes in its package. because the system must update the package again and again .. need settings

In general update 16 april 2009 almost no difference with the update 13 april 2009.
But I kept update .. 16 april response more aggressive than before.
Package is installed before it can run as normal.

              I have to second that.

HTTPS access via internet is much better and OPENVPN config pages loads much faster.

Ping times over VPN have also been improved going from double digit MS response times to single digit majority response times.

              Thank you again.

Update pfsense 18 april 2009 - 0925 performance the better, Compared with the previous date.
Performance of the cpu the more aggressive and efficient, Filter reload faster and more aggressive, VPN normal, dhcp normal, daskboard normal, Multi Wan the good performance. Traffic sharper the reponsif. Until this stage in my personal value to pfsense = 99.5. if the best standards = 100

Load Balance is excellent. Just when we update from previous versions.
Reload load balance will take approximately 40 minutes. Then run the normal and very aggressive.

Very extraordinary Update pfsense on 20 april 2009 - 1033.
There was a significant increase in performance compared with the previous update.
Multi wan normal, dhcp, dns, VPN, pppoe, wirelless all running normally.
Reload filter is very aggressive. I give the value of 99.7 if the best standard = 100.
I strongly recommend the use Pfsense your company. And do not forget Pfsense grateful to the Team has provided many contributions to the success of this project.

                    regard.

Although the filters do not reload as quickly as upadate before.
The occurrence of delay, I think because the system changes aimed at increasing response and agrsifitas's performance.
However, do not affect the performance in general are efisient.
Thus in Update 23 april 2009 - 0918 I feel more stable performance.

Although the filter is a bit reload takes time. But this does not disrupt the performance in general.
But we will feel as though we are not running settings, such as sharper traffic, load balance, and so forth.
Thus I felt the updated version 24 april 2009 1047 general this system is more stable, stable, load balance, traffic Shaper, multi wan also more stable.
does not believe? …...Please try it out .. :)

The whole point of open source are options.  PfSense is one option.  IPCop is another option and etc.

Being the way we are we tend to stick to the ones we like.  As you may have noticed I've used IPCop for years and last year switched to PfSense as it is a more "mature" product for me to use.  IPCop still works but I outgrew it when I started to learn more about enterprise routers.

                                        PfSense fits in that category.
