SNORT sticks.

Hello,
I just installed SNORT on May 3rd 1.2.3 upgrade and when I check services, Snort is go green.
However, after the pin is entered and saved, I click on the updates tab, and I can see the progress bar for updating rules, but that's all I am seeing for the last hour and now, I am unable to select anything else. PFSense is stuck on Snort updates tab.Is there a fix or a trick to fix this behavior?

Actually, "does her thing" now implies nothing. I have registered with Snort under another name and entered a different code for the snort updates and the same results I get. Snort is stuck updating. Is there an option to apply manual updates?

PS- on another question…Has PFSense been tested under a DDOS type scenario and what were the results of such testing?

A friend of mine says that pfsense can be UDP flood but im not sure. This UDP flood thing should be eliminated. Im not sure how to disable UDP flood in the webgui though i review each menu nothing there.
Snort will work really. You have to wait for hours so you can get the updates /rules .. Ive waited like 12 hours upto 14hrs. Very sad life.

You guys need to go to the correct forum for this issue under packages…
Any how the package did had some issue due to a change on the snort website and some other changes like the MD5, etc...
There is an update to snort please make sure you have the latest.. 2.4.8.1 V1.1 -
