    Hello,

I cannot get pfsense booting with an Intel E5200(Wolfdale).

To replicate: install 1.2.3RC1 from cdrom to hard drive and then try to boot from hard drive.  Get a halt every time.  Can work around the issue by manually booting into safe mode.  Replacing the E5200 with an older E2160(Allendale) works fine.

Maybe caused by the freebsd 7.1 not recognizing the new cpu?

You should try a more recent 1.2.3-RC snapshot, which is now based on FreeBSD 7.2

I downloaded a 1.2.3 freebsd 7.2 based snapshot from link above and installed and it booted just fine!

Not sure if you are a planning to release 1.2.3 based on 7.1 freebsd, but if you do so might want to mention in the release notes that may be a problem with recent release intel cpus.
