Starting when I upgraded to rc1, continuing in rc2, and now in the most recent snapshot, when I try to install a package, I get "Beginning package installation", and than nothing. It never proceeds to downloading. Since no one else has complained of this, I assume something from my old configuration, which I've restored, is hurting me. Before I go off through the options, any suggestions?

Maybe you have too less space for the image file on your CF card partition. I have the same problem, since I tried the upgrade over ssh console I saw after 43% of download, that it was stopped because of less memory. Now I try to expand the pf partition with this script:

Possible you have the same problem.

I have a disk (it's not an embedded system) far larger than needed.

fixing the XML "cannot occur more than once" error which showed up elsewhere (again, for an option which didn't even exist in the current configuration, only in backups) made this problem go away.
