    Possible IPSEC Config VPN Issuse After 1.2.3 RC1 (& 7/26 Snap) upgrade

      I just upgraded my 1.2.2 box to 1.2.3 RC1

      After the upgrade the VPN did come backup fine, but went down over the weekend with this error filling the logs. (See below)

      All i did to get the VPN back up was click on edit (for the VPN) then save.
      I wanted to pass this along and i will also keep an eye on it.

      Note: My VPN on 1.2.2 has been very stable

        Hi Vito,

        I have upgraded on every 1.2.3 release after 20th April and OpenVPN works really good and never had a problem and thank god for that cause I solve my problems just like Dick Cheney does…with a glass of scotch and a shotgun. :)

        Dry jokes aside, you didn't indicate what VPN? IPSEC or OPENVPN. In any case, I have no problems with VPN.

            If I'm not mistaken 'racoon' only has to do with IPSec.

              Same deal as before.
              Upgrade worked, VPN's up after upgrade (noticed high latency this time to remote)
              This morning all vpn down.
              Note: this was an upgrade from Aprils 1.2.3 RC1 release.

              This was in the logs again.

                Is the other side a hostname(dyndns) or a ip address.

                If a hostname does not resolve it will be skipped in the configuration and you could end up without a configuration.

                Does the system log say anything about reloading a IPsec tunnel?

                  IP… no host name...
                  It has been a while, but from what i remember, the log was full with just the errors above.

                  EDIT: Also...Connection has been stable since...
