      Hi,
i have installed PFS 1.2.3. RC1 for months now, and everything worked fine until today,

suddenly every page i try to open i got pop up with user name and password, PFS user name and password.

Do you have any ideas why that happened? how to solve this because restart didnt help.

      Configuration is
      intel celeron 1.7 ghz
      512mb ram
      20 gb hdd

poxy, squid and dhcp running, thats all …

      thanks

Are you on the current RC? If not: update.

I have had it that when you try to resolve an URL which doesnt exist, the DNS forwarder resolves to your own WAN IP.
–> You try to access your pfSense.

I would make sure that your currently configured DNS servers are reachable and working.
You could try to set on a client behind the pfSense statically the OpenDNS servers: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.

We do what we must, because we can.

Yep, leave it like dead box, only I have password for it and only i know that machine exists at the first place, so i dont know who could change any of configuration.

I still didnt have time to check why this happened (pfs is unplugged, some linksys router used instead).
I will play with it little bit and try to figure it out.
