After some time with intensive traffic 1.2.3-RC1 pfSense hangs. Hangs means it is routing/firewalling but I can not manage it neither using ssh nor http. It accepts connections but no login prompt or http answer. Remote syslog does not show anything.
1.2-release works perfectly on the same (literally) hardware. Broadcom NICs.

Why not try a more recent release candidate?

Ok, I'll try though it's been broken since 1.2.2.

After three days running hang again. At this point I do not ask what the problem is as apparently nobody knows. I would like to have some approach which would allow to find out why it happens.

you'll need a developer kernel, or a stock FreeBSD install with an appropriate kerenl and get debug info and provide to FreeBSD developers, nothing anyone can do for you here.
