      Hello,

      I need some advice.

I'm running PFsense 1.2.3 on a Dell R300 server. I am currently using the 2 onboard NIC's, as the PCI Express Server NIC is INOP due to lightning Damage.

I need to create one simple VLAN for a Dlink Wireless AP. As I am two floors down, the VLAN will traverse two Dlink switches.

Under these circumstances, would you consider the risk too great to use the LAN interface and assign a VLAN to it? Would it be okay to then change the port in the switch to a trunked port as required?

Would this change affect normal LAN traffic?

      Thanks.
      Jits
