      Hi Guys
I just wanted to know on a firewall rule can you redirect somebody from your network to a different page say like if somebody didnt pay and I wanted them to be redirected to a page saying access denied? reason why I am asking about this is because I am thinking about starting up a WISP.

Captive Portal is probably what you want.

Why?  What about it makes it unsuitable?  If you just say "no, that won't work" people won't be able to direct you to something more suitable.

how is it going to work if the customers are on a pppoe connection? remember this is going to be for a WISP not a hotspot setup. I know there is a way of doing it because I cant figure it out how to do it.

setup another pf box (behind the one that does the ppoe) and have a captive protal with redirect like what Cry Havok  said.

The squidGuard package appears to offer this functionality, although I've never used it. I like squid though.
