-
Hello All,
I am new to pfSense and freeBSD, so please be easy on me.
I installed pfSense version 2.0-BETA4 (i386) built on Sat Dec 11 04:27:50 EST 2010 and everything went well except for the Ralink RT3070 wireless chipset, which won't load.
From the log file, this is what being recorded:

Please help!!!
Thanks,

Create (or edit) file /boot/loader.conf.local to include the line:
runfw_load="YES"
The problem is the firmware isn't built into the kernel so the boot loader needs to load the firmware kernel module into memory when its loading the kernel.
This has been discussed a number of times in the 2.0 BETA forum.

wallabybob,
Your suggestion really help. Now I got my wireless network up and working with Host AP mode without having to do any other modification.
Thanks for the quick reply!
