          ahh; dhcp, alright.

          only problem is all computers on my LAN use static ip's.

            you can try to disable your pfsense DHCP.
            or is there another server in your network, Windows Server with DHCP or something ?

              Is that appearing in the logs for the WAN interface?  If so it just means you're seeing some device broadcasting for it's lease - ignore it.

                @Cry:

                ignore it.

                Or set up a firewall rule to quietly drop them.

                Cheers.

                  its one of the many security trade offs for using a shared Internet connection, you see all the broadcast stuff which can be useful, though other users can see you…

                    This is a common thing for cable internet.  Is that what kind of connection you are on?

                      Could you tell me what your firewall rule looks like? My logs contain a lot of these and I think I need to let them pass for my IPTV to work, but I can't figure it out..

                        If you're seeing them in your logs, then they're not being passed, so if your IPTV is working, it doesn't need them.

                        They're usually just "chatter" you get being on a cable modem.

                        It's a fairly straightforward rule to block them, without logging.

                        Cheers.
