Pfsense as Wifi router?
-
Hi Guy,
I trying to get some advice on using my Atom machine which left only USB port left to setup a USB WIfi router/FW ?

There are at least a couple of USB WLAN chipsets that are well supported in FreeBSD/pfSense and support AccessPoint mode.
On pfSense 1.2.3 I have used a TP-Link TL-WN321G which is supported by the FreeBSD rum driver.
On pfSense 2.0 I have used a Tenda W311U which is supported by the FreeBSD run driver.

Hello,
Can you advise if PCI TP-Link TL-WN951N is ok on On pfSense 1.2.3?10x

At best it will work in "G mode" (max of 54Mbps). It is reported that card has an Atheros chipset so it could work. I have no experience with that card. I've had good results on both pfSense 1.2.3 and 2.0 with the TP-Link TL-WN651G.
