    Hi there.

I had a pfSense 1.2.3 box with OpenVPN configured correctly for over a 1 year working without any problems since a few days ago. I did a bunch of attempts to re-setup OpenVPN but I couldn't fix the problem.

At the moment, I don't want to go into depth regarding the origin of the problem. I would like to know, what should I do in order to "reset to default" all the settings related with OpenVPN via the web interface and shell, so I can start a test bed and see if configuring OpenVPN again fixes my problem. This box also provides internet access to my clients, so I don't want to set it up from the ground up…

I don't think the cause of the problem is the client.

    Thanks in advance.

If it was working fine for a year and then stopped, I would suspect one of two things:

      1. ISP/upstream interference

      2. Hardware

Neither of which would be rectified by resetting your OpenVPN settings.

To remove OpenVPN settings, if you really must, download a backup of your configuration file from Diagnostics > Backup/Restore, edit out the OpenVPN sections, then restore that edited backup file.
