      Hi,

      I can't connect to my OpenVPN server and in the server log I see this (but don't understand the issue - apparently linked to IPv6 but I don't have that enabled on the router. And ifconfig should still run I think…):

      [openvpn log]

      Oct 19 08:59:28 openvpn[2877]: Exiting
      Oct 19 08:59:28 openvpn[2877]: FreeBSD ifconfig failed: external program exited with error status: 1
      Oct 19 08:59:28 openvpn[2877]: /sbin/ifconfig ovpns1 192.168.67.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 mtu 1500 up
      Oct 19 08:59:28 openvpn[2877]: do_ifconfig, tt->ipv6=0, tt->did_ifconfig_ipv6_setup=0
      Oct 19 08:59:28 openvpn[2877]: TUN/TAP device /dev/tap1 opened
      Oct 19 08:59:28 openvpn[2877]: Control Channel Authentication: using '/var/etc/openvpn/server1.tls-auth' as a OpenVPN static key file
      Oct 19 08:59:28 openvpn[2877]: OpenVPN 2.2.0 i386-portbld-freebsd8.1 [SSL] [LZO2] [eurephia] [MH] [PF_INET6] [IPv6 payload 20110424-2 (2.2RC2)] built on Aug 11 2011

      [system log]

      Oct 19 08:59:28 kernel: tap1: link state changed to DOWN
      Oct 19 08:59:28 kernel: tap1: link state changed to UP

      –-

      Client (ubuntu) just says "timeout".
      Do I have to disable IPv6 in OpenVPN via an extra option? If yes, how would I do that?

      Any help is much appreciated!

      Best
      Georg

        this is solved - the config I got through the client exporter expected username + password even though I had configured SSL/TLS Remote Access w/o user auth. Works well now!
