      Dear All,

I have set up a 11b AP successful.  It works fine.  However, I found that its download speed is limited to 100KB (If I use 2 computers for testing, the speed will drop to 50kb each) but the upload speed can be up to 400Kb.  If I use lan for speed testing, the download speed is around 2000kb (sometimes 4000kb or more) and the upload speed is almost the same .  Is there any hidden config for speed limitation of the wireless card?  Thanks a lot.

Check status>interfaces. Do you see one way errors on the wireless interface? This is an indication for having only one Antenna connected whereas the driver seems to use diversity (2 antennas). Search the forum, thare are already threads discussing these problems.

Thanks a lot.  I have tried to set txantenna but I got the following error:

          sysctl: unknown oid 'dev.ath.0.txantenna'

I am now using an USB wireless.  Here is the information.

          net.wlan.0.%parent: ural0
          dev.ural.0.%desc: ANI 802.11g WLAN Adapter, rev 2.00/0.01, addr 2

          dev.ural.0.%pnpinfo: vendor=0x2001 product=0x3c00 devclass=0x00 devsubclass=0x00 release=0x0001 sernum=""
          dev.ural.0.%parent: uhub1

How to set txantenna and rxantenna?  Thanks a lot.

          Regards,
          Jette

Not sure about this driver as the command that you reference only applies to atheros chipsets. Maybe someone else knows something about urals.
