All my time based rules appear to not trigger automatically.  Meaning - If someone is already online (Say - playing W.O.W.), the rule will not stop their internet access.  If they stop the game and/or close an internet connection, the rule will then trigger and they won't be able to get back on.  This seems to be the case for the network connection as well. The Windows 7 network connection will show connected until they 'reset' the network connection.

Is this normal?  Kinda defeats the point of the rule.  Please help - hopefully it's just a configuration issue. I can supply a screen shot, but which screen would you need?

      thanks…

This is most likely because there are still active states for the sessions which the time-based rules are intended to block.

The same thing will occur for regular firewall rules - If you open up www.google.com on a PC in your LAN and then add a firewall rule to block HTTP access to Google, the PC will still be able to do so since the firewall state was active when the rule was created.

To resolve this, you would have to clear the relevant states as the time-based rule goes active.

That sure seems like it should be automatic.  Kinda of defeats the point of being time based. Or am I missing something?  I don't see a way to reset the states in the rule - only see the manual method.  Can you expand on how to configure that so that it is automatic?

          Thanks

States on the schedule rule are killed by default. It can be disabled by checking the "Schedule states" box under System>Advanced, Misc. My guess is either your rule order is wrong so it's not matching that rule, or you disabled that option though I doubt the latter.
