Question about user management

Hi there,

we're using pfsense in an educational environment (especially the captive portal) for students to have internet access.

Allthough this is the best solution ever for our institution we came up an issue that needs to be solved:

Is there a poosibility (module, php-script, shell-scriptl) that the users can change their initial password on the captive portal?

Any hint is very welcome,

What authentication mechanism are you using with Captive Portal?

We're using the internal "user-manager", (no Radius Server) with username/password (built-in database) authentication.

Are there other options?
(As long as we want to keep it simple we are a little frightened to set up the radius-server..because none of us ever has).
