    Hello,

I just updated a few of our pfSense boxes running the nanobsd image (2G) from release 2.0 to 2.02 (July 2nd). Previously, Wake on Lan was a menu option under the "Services" menu, but it no longer seems to be there on v2.02. I have looked all over for it and have temporarily resorted to using the wol command line. Can someone please let me know if this is a defect or if the WOL settings have moved elsewhere?

    Thanks,
    Andy

I can confirm it is missing from the menu list. I can get to it with http://

<address>/services_wol.php or by adding a resesrvation in DHCP (even when not in use) ans then clicking on the "w" to configure WOL.</address>

We are talking about the upcoming possible release of 2.02, not 2.1.

I created my own ISOs and I have heard there is a place to get them online somewhere, though I don't know where.
If you want to know more … https://github.com/bsdperimeter ... click on pfsense .. then change branches to RELENG_2_0 ... other than that, if you get yours upgrade to 2.0.2, you will find that it is missing. It is cosmetic as only the menu item is missing, but the code is still there and still works if you type it in my hand.
This is all that I know, have not dug into the code to find out more ... just don't have the time right now.

                  I understood that ;)

I was just pointing out that the problem did not exist in the 2.1 line - so something isolated to 2.02

                    Ah …  :-
I use both upcoming releases in the lab and I should have mentioned that 2.1 did not have the problem.
