"Block bogon networks" option

hello I was wondering what this function does? When it is enabled I cannot access the internet from lan; however when it is disabled on my WAN interface i have access to the internet through my lan.

i understand what it is now; however it still doesnt answer why my LAN traffic cannot access the internet with this option enabled on my WAN interface. Is there something I didnt do in my initial setup?

Maybe your LAN subnet lies within a bogon range?

It does i will just change it then. I guess I miss understood the option, I thought it blocked incoming bogon traffic not my own private network traffic. Thanks for the advice
