I am experienced with the shell, vi etc. but new to pfSense. I am using the Captive Portal and it is only this redirect bug that annoys me (urls getting trashed). I am asking for a .diff or some "howto"-steps to fix this, seemingly easy to fix, bug. Thx

PS: I know how to re-mount rw already

well, i opted out of the update because I found this github thing (also I'm such a noob, too happy with my working setup and too scared doing heavy updates atm):

            https://github.com/bsdperimeter/pfsense/commit/237c6ef22f84a61f2c97e88936f66ba4c6b41322

reverting the three lines fixes it. :)

That is only part of the story though, since some more substantial fixes were needed.

hmm, I am running nanobsd. If I choose to manually upload a new firmware, will that update the second slice and leave my original install untouched? I really want to be able to go back quickly if something doesn"t work as expected. Thx
