      Hello,

I have been trying to make my swisscom router, my pFSense firewall and my swisscom box (iptv) work together for quite some time now and I didn't succeeded…

      I used those posts:

      http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,41849.0.html

      and

      http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,27155.0.html

      without any luck

I'm not an expert by any means but I came to think to this idea:

Use vlan... I draw an explanation and attached it to this post...

In black is what I have and in red is what I would like to achieve with a vlan...

      Is it clear?
      Is it doable?
Is the solutions in the previous post more adequate?
If so, why is it notworking?

      Thank you for your time!

        Okay… not many answers... :P

I checked a lot of french and german posts on the swisscom forum and it looks like IGMP proxy is the way to go... They say it requires "IGMP Proxy v3"

=> Can someone confirm the pFSense IGMP proxy is "v3" ???

=> Can someone point me to a good IGMP Proxy howto/turorial

        Tank you for your time!

                    Hello,

                    Here is the 3rd screenshot
The 300kb limitation is way too small…

Okay, I tried but it is still not working… It takes longer to freeze though...

I checked the "This allows packets with IP options to pass. Otherwise they are blocked by default. This is usually only seen with multicast traffic. " on all firewall rules you gave me...

your swisscombox is in the normal dhcp range? (192.168.1.X)
your pfsense is recieving wan from the router via ip passthrough?

again, thank you for your time!

                        Hello,

You only need to check the IP Option for WAN IGMP Rule.
I simplified my setup for the screenshots, my Swisscom Box is in the same VLAN than the others computers (172.20.10.0)
Yes my pfSense is receiving WAN IP from IP Passthrough from Swisscom Modem.

Maybe try to put "any" in source for the IGMP WAN rule.

Send me screenshot of your rules if still not working.

                        Regards
