I imported my own CA into my pfSense box.  I want to create a cert for the https connection for the Web configurator/Web GUI, or whatever you want to call it.  When I'm in the cert manager trying to add a cert, one of the options is a server cert or a user cert.  My first thought was to create a server cert, but I'm not 100% sure that's the right answer.  Any thoughts or help on this question would be greatly appreciated.  If this question has been answered in the forums already please reply with a link.  Public Key cryptography is next on my list of things to learn about so i have to resort to the forums for this question for now.  Thanks.

For the GUI, I don't think it matters. The automatically generated GUI cert is not a "server" certificate.
